If something can go wrong around him, it will, and if it does not he will make it happen. <br/><br/>Comparing the film with the other latest Bond parody, the Austin Powers series is required, and you know what? I liked this one better. Without the great money of 'Powers', 'Johnny English' succeeded better in extracting healthy laughs and making me feel that I did not completely mis-spent the 88 minutes and the …no, I will not tell you what a ticket in the theater costs over here! John Malkovitch seems to enjoy every moment on the screen, and Natalia Imbruglia makes us wait for the next in the series. Which I am sure will come, and I hope it will not be falling much below the original,the Powers second and third did. <br/><br/>7/10 on my personal scale.
Four friends - all going into the cinema with different expectations of Johnny English. My best friend and I both raring to go, a sister not really sure what it was and another mate coming for the ride. All of us came out red in the face unable to stop laughing,we had been since the film began. I am still baffledto how they got away with using some of the oldest jokes in the book, but Rowan Atkinsons performance undoubtly had the crowd in stitches. And all hearts went out to agent Boff, the brainy agent who got it right, but at the same time was a complete sweetie. And to add to all that - an amazing car chase, thats far more spectacular and hilarious than anything from James Bond or Fast and the Furious.<br/><br/>Yes many scenes were predictable, but that just added to the giggles. My best mate and I would be in fits whispering to one another what be both knew was about to happen, and then laugh harderwhat we knew would happen did. If you like Austin Powers or James Bond this is for you, or if like another of my friends you hate it this is also for you.
