7cb1d79195 New Jersey detective Nick Cassidy heads to Bangkok where he teams up with Thai detective Tony Vitayakui to hunt down Viktor Dragovic and destroy his human trafficking network. Nick had inadvertently killed Dragovic's son in a sting operation on the New Jersey docks, and Dragovic responded by attempting to kill Nick and his family. Nick miraculously survived the brutal attack, but his wife and daughter were killed. With nothing but vengeance to live for, Nick and Tony traverse their way through the Bangkok underworld in search of the elusive Dragovic. Meanwhile, FBI agent Eddie Reed is sent in to bring Nick home. Butthe crossfire ensues, Nick has to determine who his true allies are.

OK, I am not a studio guy but whoever tells you this movie is trash is really pretentious. I have seen many B movies and most are just plain boring clichés. This one is not original but is a solid, well made piece of entertainment. Redundant and extra cheesy dialog at times, however action scenes are very good, including the martial arts ones (Tony Jaa and Michael Jai White…enough said). Great cast (Dolph Lundgren and Tony Jaa, Ron Perlman and several other well known names…) with very decent acting at the very least. Production value is excellent. <br/><br/>On the bad side, movie is indeed a cliché with a very formulaic dialog. Acting is … overacting to wooden at times. However, for what it is - a surprisingly fun and satisfying B movie I give it a 7 with no regrets.
Right, well a movie such"Skin Trade" did seem like it could have great potential. After all, I mean, there are some pretty big names on the cast list, which includes Tony Jaa, Michael Jai White, Dolph Lundgren, Ron Perlman and Peter Weller.<br/><br/>The concept of the storyline was good, although the movie itself was rather predictable and generic.<br/><br/>Naturally there was lots of good action and fighting sequences. These sequences were nicely choreographed and executed on the screen, and that really added to the enjoyment of the movie.<br/><br/>"Skin Trade" had a good cast,I mentioned earlier. Though I feel that Michael Jay White, Peter Weller and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa weren't given enough screen time or prominent enough roles to really utilize their abilities and talents.<br/><br/>All in all, "Skin Trade" turned out to be a mediocre action movie because of the storyline, and while the action was bountiful and nicely executed, then it could only do so little to salvage the storyline. "Skin Trade" is good enough entertainment for a single viewing if you enjoy action movies that do not challenge your intellectual side.
For a film so seemingly interested in educating audiences about the evils of sex trafficking that it provides horrific statistics at the conclusion, it has no compunction about including copious doses of female nudity.
